About

I’m Leslie and this blog is all about trying new things. Hope springs eternal and you just never know what has the potential to make a major impact on your life.

I like to try new products, fashions, recipes, trends, and ideas. My husband, otherwise known as the Big Man, calls me Jane Q. Public because I’m easily persuaded by colorful prose and attention-grabbing commercials that wax rhapsodic about new products. It’s the little things that count and I’m fairly easy to please. If something can make my day, make me look or feel younger, make life easier or help others, I want to give it a try.

If I like something, it gets a fabulous 5 rating on the the Chickalicious scale. If it doesn’t make my day, then the rating is lower. These are just the thoughts of one Unhip Chick. They are not scientific tests done in a carefully controlled setting, but rather, in my carefully cluttered home.

When I’m not writing for my blog, I’ m often writing for clients, eating chocolate, reading a good book, fighting the battle of the bulge at a fitness class, or contemplating my next big adventure. Not necessarily in that order. I’m still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. It’s a work in progress, but I’m enjoying the ride.

Finally! Found your blog! Hi Leslie, Marysue from Zumba here! Miss the classes, & your sunny outlook. Good thoughts on women’s tata’s. I often wonder, when watching tv, just how much cleavage is the norm? Is it just tv land? Or is it appropriate for cranberry/Zeli? For myself, usually I’m bound by an exercise bra, no bounce, allowed. Usually can’t wait to return home and go free under a dark, loose, t-shirt.

In my humble and prudish opinion, there is just too much cleavage on TV and everywhere else, Mary Sue! I’m so happy you found my blog! Come join us at the Municipal Center for classes and girl talk!
